Content Policies

Review only places you have actually visited or booked, and describe what you experienced. Secondhand accounts, hypotheticals and reviews written to settle a score are not useful to anyone.

Write about the food, service, atmosphere, value or the event itself. Comments about unrelated matters, or about staff’s personal characteristics, will be removed.

Hate speech, slurs, or attacks based on religion, caste, gender, sexuality, disability or origin.

Harassment, threats, or targeting an individual.

Sexual content, graphic violence, or promotion of illegal activity.

Other people’s personal information, including phone numbers, addresses and photographs of them without consent.

Spam, advertising, referral links and repetitive posting.

Impersonating another person or business.

Do not post a review in exchange for money, a discount, free food or any other benefit.

Do not review a business you own, work for, or have a stake in, and do not review a competitor.

Post photos you took yourself, of the place or the food. Do not post photos taken from a website, another review, or of other diners without their consent.

Claims about hygiene, safety or illness are taken seriously and can badly damage a business. Post them only if they describe what you personally experienced, and consider reporting the matter to the local food safety authority as well.

We may remove content that breaks these rules, and may limit or close accounts that do so repeatedly or seriously.

We may also remove content where we are legally required to.
